Held in His Heart: A Personal Journey to the Cross

Did you know that when Jesus went to the cross, He held you in His heart?

His sacrifice was a beautiful, intentional expression of love—made for you, with you in mind. Have you ever truly reflected on what happened at Calvary and considered your place in it?

I invite you to pause and look into the Word of God to see the precious promises fulfilled for both you and me.

1. 🌿 In the Garden, He Chose Me (His Obedience)

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus sweat blood for me.

“And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.” — Luke 22:44

Fully human, Jesus knew the agony he will face ahead. He struggled. He felt the weight of it all. Yet, He chose obedience—not just out of love for the Father, but out of unwavering love for us.

2. 💔 On the Road, He Bore My Pain (Healing)

As He walked toward the cross, He carried my pain and my diseases.

“Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering... he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:4–5

The journey was brutal. He allowed His body to be broken so that today, we can receive health, wholeness, and divine healing. His suffering opened the door for our restoration in this life.

3. ✝️ On the Cross, He Took My Place (Righteousness)

On the cross, Jesus died my death. He took the punishment for my sins.

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21

He bore the judgment we deserved. Only Jesus, sinless and pure, could pay the price in full. Our old self was crucified with Him (Romans 6:6), meaning the body ruled by sin has been put away!

4. 🌅 In the Resurrection, We Rose With Him (Rest & Reign)

And when He rose, I rose with Him. When the Father seated Him at His right hand, He also seated me there.

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:6

What joy! The penalty was paid, and the Father was satisfied. To be seated is to rest. In Christ, we find peace no matter the storm. He brings us into a place of quiet strength and assurance.

💖 The Word Made Personal

Did you notice how I made every promise personal? That's because they truly are mine, and they are yours too—if you believe.

The Bible isn’t just a book of stories. It’s a living Word meant to be claimed, embraced, and lived.

“For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” — Hebrews 10:14

The events of Calvary is not just another story to read; it is the defining story of our life, woven by His love and sacrifice for our sake.

Surrender to the One who gave His life for yours. Let His sacrifice become your beginning, your healing, and your hope.

He said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." - John 11:25

"...I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." - John 10:10
